PAUL'S

Delicious food on offer at Paul's Wimbledon Village
87 High Street Wimbledon
Wimbledon Village

Wonderful patisserie and bakery in the Village. Great take away salads and baguettes, perfect for a picnic on the common. Paul's say  'Our recipes for bread, viennoiserie and patisserie have been handed down through the family for over one hundred years. Our bakers are true artisans, with years of training.'  It is definitely worth a visit whether to eat in or take away.

LE PAIN QUOTIDIEN

4-5 High Street Wimbledon, Wimbledon Village, London SW19 5DX
Telephone 020 7486 6154

Le Pain serves simple, elegant boulangerie fare made with organic ingredients in a rustic setting. Great breakfasts with large bowls of tea and pastries. Also does takeaway salads, quiches and baguettes. Their philosophy is 'Whenever we can, we source organic ingredients. This way, we not only do what is good for the Earth, but we also ensure our ingredients are of the highest quality. It's about finding the very best, in a way that is good for all of us.' I have to agree that the quality does live up to the intention.

CANNIZARO HOUSE

View of the Conservatory at Cannizaro House
Cannizaro House Hotel dates from the 18th century and sits within wonderful parkland and landscaped gardens. A great place to visit for both lunch and dinner or their famous teas. Head Chef, Christian George, believes that quality, seasonality and origin are key to his cooking success. For this reason he insists that ingredients are sourced from British, organic suppliers.

You can either eat in the main restaurant which has a conservatory overlooking the sunken formal garden or have a light snack or tea in the lounge. On a sunny day the house is opened up to the terrace overlooking the park where food is also served.
